"Mom, I'm all grown up!"
My photography journey kicked off with a bang at Niagara Falls, where I shot my first proposal at 17, perfectly aligning with the couple’s fresh start.
This led to a series of 10 more proposal shoots, each one more exhilarating than the last. They where asking me to shoot their weddings & of course I was excited to continue telling the story!
Watching these fireworks spark was symbolic to the feeling of the energy pouring into my wedding career.
(Some cute young photos of my from 10 years ago on on the right ….)
My first wedding was nothing short of a dream come true.
Four years of honing my craft in photography culminated in a solo photo and video shoot at the breathtaking Hacienda Sarria in Kitchener.
The day was filled with chasing golden light, vibrant clients, and dancing into the night.
It ended on a note of pure bliss, with my best friend Spencer by my side on the balcony, soaking in the warm, fuzzy feeling of anticipation for the countless weddings we’d capture in the future. This experience wasn’t just about the photographs or films; it was a romance with dream/vision and what could be the rest of my life just like capturing the start of a new journey of my clients that day.
After a busy summer shooting my very first 14 weddings, second shooting 15 other weddings, I then was asked to fly to Mexico with some dear clients to capture their week!
A whirlwind five days saw me securing a new passport, thanks to Susan’s eagerness to have me capture their special week. It was a wild adventure filled with the electric nights at Cocobongo and days immersed in the warmth of their family. I wasn’t just a videographer; I became a part of their story, their celebrations, capturing every candid moment.
What a hoot, while deciding what next steps to do after Highschool I knew my passion for creativity, story telling, was a great next step moving forward with using my camera to make an impact on peoples lives.
From day dreaming on the school buss about mountains, beaches, and shooting many weddings… I now knew I had the foundation to continue this path! woot woot!
Exploding with excitement I launched after high school enjoying many wedding seasons, developing a caffeine addiction, & adventuring into any wedding any where…
I love every step! Settled in a cute condo while operating weddings where my clients where flying me into.
I cherish my best friends that I’ve had the gift of shooting alongside and sharing this amazing career/medium of photo & video.
Kiria, Nigel, Matt, Walberto, Pete, Luke, Sheng, Spencer, & more! It’s been a blessing and I’m so thankful I get to shoot best friends (my clients) with my best friends!
